What do you enjoy most about your role?

Being part of a community, always doing different things, and playing a part in students’ journeys as they grow and evolve as people… and trying to nurture a love for learning about the complexity and magic of the world. Also, seeing students develop and utilise a wide range of skills over their time at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.

What does a typical day look like for you?

Short run in the morning. Pastoral Hat on for homeroom, checking in and following up. Teach subjects. Prepare for classes. Spend preparation period playing with Robots, testing out a new experiment, proving a weird Maths theorem or speculating on potential activities to use. Go home. Try and squeeze in a tennis match or some other down time.

Most rewarding aspect of working at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½?

The friendliness of students, parents and staff, and the fact everyone has the same goals which is the education of the student.

Why did you choose to work in Catholic education?

Greater sense of community and emphasis on pastoral care and growing the whole person.

What makes ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ College a great learning community?

The friendliness, generosity and creativity of the people (students, parents, staff) in it.
